Frequently asked questions
How do I open a KMZ file?
- On a computer: install Google Earth Pro (free), then choose File, Open and select the file.
- On the web: open earth.google.com, then Projects, Open, Import KML file from computer.
- On a phone: open the file from your downloads and choose Google Earth. Apps like Avenza Maps or Locus Map work too.
Click any parcel to see its number, village and area.
My download is a ZIP file. What do I do?
Orders with several villages, or a village plus separate parcels, come as a ZIP. Extract it first (long-press on a phone, or right-click and choose Extract on a computer). Inside you will find a KMZ per village, a parcels.kmz for separate parcels and a parcels.csv file you can open in Excel.
How accurate are the outlines?
Outlines come from cadastral maps and are converted to WGS84. Expect small offsets (typically a few metres) against satellite imagery or the official plan, depending on the source and the conversion.
Files are for reference only. For any legal transaction or marking boundaries on the ground, rely on an official certificate and a licensed surveyor.
I can't find my village or parcel.
Try other spellings (for example Jounieh, Jounie or جونيه), or pick the governorate and district from the filters. If the village is not available yet, contact us and we will tell you when it is added.
How can I pay?
We accept Whish Money, bank cards (Areeba) and manual transfer. With a manual transfer, your file becomes available on the order page as soon as the payment is confirmed.
How many times can I download my file?
Your download starts automatically after payment. Save the file somewhere safe and follow the retry options and download window shown on your order page. If you lose it, contact us with your order number.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, password or email. Pick what you need, pay, and the file downloads straight away.
When should I buy a full village instead of single parcels?
A parcel costs $1 and a full village starts at $10. If you need several parcels in the same village, the village is often cheaper, and your cart will suggest it automatically.
